Today we’re going to tell you how to flip trek bike Mino link. So, we’ve got a 2018 Trek fuel X eight here. The bolt is towards the back of the bike here, which means we’re in a low position.

Now we want to move it towards the front of the bike so that we can put it in the high position and that’s what we’re here to do.

So, the direction of the arrow here is what we need to do to tighten the bolt. Once we’re done. All right. The bolt comes in from the back so it’s opposite to how it usually be.

So, to loosen it, if we’re going to come in from the outside, we need to go in the opposite direction of the arrow.

The bolt goes straight through and loosens it all at once and there we go, the minnow nut or whatever the hell you want to call it is off and we’ll leave the bolt in there to hold it together while we do the other side.

Now I did struggle with this side, as you can see, but we’ll just you know, fast forward, nothing to see here.

All right, so we’ll just pop the bolt out now. This stuff is locked tight. This is what we want to use on the bolt.

So, it doesn’t come loose. This is the one that I like to use came recommended. I want to show you how to put it on because there are probably better tutorials for that. So, we pop everything back in.

Obviously, we make sure the bolt is towards the front of the Bach, and now we are turning in the direction of the arrow to tighten from the outside and the same on the other side.

So now he comes to the tricky pot. This is where I got to the first time, I attempted this and this is where it all went wrong.

Spinning

If you try to talk it from here and go in the direction of the arrows like I did the first time, it’s just, unless you’ve got a fancy talk ranch, it’s not going to talk in that direction.

You’re just going to keep bike spinning, and it’s going to thread the hell out of it and you going to be in a whole load of trouble.

So, take my advice, talk it from the inside, and should we ride easy? Does it, Oh, ride. So, there you go. That’s how you flip the Mino link. I’ve gone back to the high position.

This is what the bike came with and I tried out a low position and I just found it wasn’t handling the way I was used to, and I just felt it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be.

So, I’m going back, seeing how I liked that, and seeing if it still does well on the steep stuff. I’ll let you know how it goes.
