A4 for Corporate Packs
Measuring 210mm x 297mm, the A4 size is generally considered to be the most suitable for printed brochures of a substantial nature that contain a lot of information and images. Corporate packs, service literature, estate agent literature and the like are typical examples of printed brochures that would be distributed in a folder or posted in a sturdy padded envelope.
A5 for Portable Use
Measure half of A4 (i.e. 148mm x 210mm) across and this size folds easily into a pocket or takes only with you to a meeting. Menus, lists of products (and their prices), short versions of corporate information and similar materials can be printed in this format.
DL for Racks and Envelopes
DL format brochures, such as seen in hotel lobbies and waiting rooms, printed on a standard envelope and displayed in magazine racks, keeping your printing costs to a minimum.
A3 Folded for More Content
An A3 sheet folded in half will give you a 4 page A4 brochure. The only extra cost is the folding. This is a very cost effective way of producing content for your products or for events that you are holding.
Square Formats for a Modern Look
A square format of A square format such as 148mm x 148mm or 210mm x 210mm can project a more modern image for a business. As square formats are generally non-standard, the costs must be checked before committing to a square format for brochure printing.
Page Count Affects Price
A larger format, with a higher number of pages, means more expensive paper and higher costs for the finishing.
